By engaging Coastview to provide services, you agree to these Terms of Service together with any written proposal, quotation, statement of work or other agreement provided to you.

-
General business consultancy and support
The exact services provided will depend on your individual requirements and will be agreed before work begins.
We will aim to provide services professionally, practically and with reasonable care and skill.
We do not guarantee any particular business result, increase in revenue, reduction in costs, growth level or other commercial outcome unless a specific outcome has been expressly agreed in writing.
3. Working With You
Our approach is collaborative.
We work alongside business owners and their teams to understand how the business operates, identify areas that may need attention and put practical solutions in place.
You remain responsible for decisions relating to your business.
Any recommendations, guidance or information provided by Coastview are intended to support your decision-making and should not be treated as a substitute for specialist legal, financial, tax, accounting or other regulated professional advice unless expressly stated otherwise.
Where specialist advice is required, we may recommend that you seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional.
4. Proposals and Quotes
Before beginning a specific piece of work, we may provide a proposal, quotation or written description of the services to be provided.
This may include:
-
The services to be provided
-
The expected timescale
-
The agreed fee
-
Payment arrangements
-
Any specific client responsibilities
-
Any other relevant conditions
A proposal or quotation is valid for the period stated within it.
Unless otherwise stated, a quotation does not constitute a commitment to begin work until it has been accepted and any required payment or deposit has been received.
5. Fees and Payment
Our fees will be agreed with you before work begins.
Depending on the nature of the service, we may charge:
-
A fixed project fee
-
An hourly or daily rate
-
A monthly support fee
-
A recurring subscription or retainer
-
Another agreed pricing structure
For fixed project's, monthly support, and recurring subscriptions, invoices are payable one month in advance of works beginning unless otherwise agreed in writing. For hourly rate works, invoices are payable within 7 days of month-end.
If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to suspend work until the account is brought up to date.
We may also charge interest on overdue business-to-business payments where permitted by law.
For ongoing services, the agreed payment arrangement will continue until either party ends the arrangement in accordance with the agreed notice period.
6. Changes to Services
We understand that business requirements can change.
If you ask us to carry out work outside the originally agreed scope, we may agree to provide the additional work.
Where the additional work is likely to result in additional costs or a significant change to the timescale, we will aim to agree this with you before carrying out that work.
7. Client Responsibilities
To allow us to provide our services effectively, you agree to provide information, access, approvals and decisions reasonably required for the work.
You are responsible for ensuring that information provided to us is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
Where delays are caused by missing information, unavailable access, delayed decisions or other matters outside our reasonable control, the agreed timescale may need to change.
8. Confidentiality
We understand that working closely with a business may give us access to commercially sensitive information.
We will treat confidential information provided to us as confidential and will not knowingly disclose or use that information for purposes unrelated to the services we provide.
This may include:
-
Business plans
-
Financial information
-
Pricing

Processes and systems
-
Marketing plans
-
Commercial strategies
-
Intellectual property

Supplier information
-
Other information that is reasonably understood to be confidential
This obligation will continue after our working relationship ends.
Nothing in these Terms prevents us from disclosing information where we are legally required to do so.
9. Conflicts of Interest
This is particularly important to Coastview's way of working.
Coastview may work with more than one business, including businesses operating within the same or similar industries.
We will not share one client's confidential information with another client for the purpose of gaining a commercial advantage, nor will we knowingly use one client's confidential business information for the benefit of another client.
This includes confidential information relating to:
-
Pricing
-
Business plans
-
Processes
-
Customers
-
Employees
-
Suppliers
-
Marketing
-
Financial information
-
Commercial strategy
-
Intellectual property
-
Future plans
Where a potential or actual conflict of interest arises, Coastview will take reasonable steps to protect confidential information and may, depending on the circumstances:
-
Restrict access to certain information
-
Separate work between clients
-
Introduce internal information barriers
-
Discuss the situation with the affected client
-
Decline particular work
-
End a particular engagement where appropriate
Nothing in these Terms prevents Coastview from using general knowledge, experience, skills, methodologies or information that is genuinely in the public domain when working with other businesses.
10. Data Protection
We will handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
Where Coastview processes personal data on behalf of a client as part of providing services, the client may remain the data controller and Coastview may act as a data processor.
Where required, the parties may enter into a separate Data Processing Agreement.
11. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
-
You retain ownership of intellectual property that you provide to us.
-
Coastview retains ownership of its pre-existing materials, templates, methodologies, processes, tools and know-how.
-
Any materials specifically created for you as part of a paid project will be made available for your business use once the relevant fees have been paid in full.
Where third-party materials, software, fonts, images, plugins, platforms or other licensed resources are used, their use may be subject to the relevant third-party licence terms.
Unless otherwise agreed, Coastview may retain the right to use its general knowledge, skills, experience, methodologies and non-confidential concepts developed while working with clients.
12. Websites, Digital Services and Third-Party Platforms
Where Coastview provides website, SEO, marketing or other digital services, performance may depend on third-party platforms and services.
These may include search engines, social media platforms, website hosts, advertising platforms, software providers and other third parties.
We cannot guarantee:
-
Search engine rankings
-
Advertising performance
-
Website traffic
-
Lead volumes
-
Social media reach
-
Sales
-
Conversion rates
-
Continued availability of third-party platforms
We will provide services with reasonable care and skill, but third-party changes, outages, algorithm updates or technical issues may affect results.
13. Third-Party Services
Where a service requires the use of a third-party provider, software or platform, we may recommend or use that service as part of the work.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, Coastview is not responsible for failures, changes, outages or losses caused directly by a third-party service provider.
Where you are required to hold your own account or licence for a third-party service, you remain responsible for maintaining that account and complying with the provider's terms.
14. Cancellation and Ending Services
Either party may end an ongoing service arrangement by providing the agreed notice period.
Unless otherwise agreed, the notice period will be 30 days.
For individual projects, cancellation terms will normally be set out in the relevant proposal or agreement.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services where:
-
Invoices remain unpaid
-
You materially breach these Terms
-
You provide information that is knowingly false or misleading
-
Continuing the relationship would create a significant conflict of interest
-
Continuing the work would require Coastview to act unlawfully or unethically
Where reasonably possible, we will discuss concerns with you before terminating an ongoing relationship.
15. Refunds
Any refund arrangements will depend on the nature of the service and the terms agreed for that particular engagement.
Where work has already been completed or costs have already been incurred on your behalf, those amounts may not be refundable.
Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Our Liability
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Subject to that, Coastview will not be responsible for losses that could not reasonably have been anticipated when the agreement was entered into, or for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
For business-to-business engagements, any specific limitation of liability will be set out in the relevant proposal or agreement where appropriate.
We recommend that any significant project or engagement includes a specific liability provision appropriate to the nature and value of the work.
17. No Guarantee of Business Results
Business decisions and commercial results depend on many factors outside our control.
While we will provide practical advice, support and recommendations based on the information available to us, we cannot guarantee a particular financial, operational or commercial outcome.
You remain responsible for decisions made by your business and for implementing recommendations provided by Coastview.
18. Force Majeure
Neither party will be responsible for failure or delay in performing its obligations where the failure or delay is caused by circumstances reasonably outside its control.
This may include serious technical failures, cyber incidents, natural disasters, extreme weather, government action, widespread outages, industrial disputes or other significant events beyond reasonable control.
19. Our Right to Use Subcontractors
Coastview may use trusted subcontractors, freelancers or specialist suppliers where reasonably necessary to provide the services.
We will remain responsible for managing the work we have agreed to provide.
Where a subcontractor requires access to confidential or personal information, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations apply.
20. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will aim to understand the issue, discuss it with you and work towards a reasonable resolution.
Complaints should be sent to:
Email: [EMAIL ADDRESS]

21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Where an existing client is materially affected by a change, we will provide reasonable notice where appropriate.
The version of the Terms applicable to a specific project or engagement will normally be the version agreed when that engagement began, unless the parties subsequently agree otherwise.
22. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
23. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any applicable proposal, quotation, statement of work or other written agreement between Coastview and the client, form the agreement between the parties in relation to the services concerned.
If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
